Dark red violet color; black currant, spice, light tar nose; black currant, spice, black fruit palate with some balancing acidity; medium finish (blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with Syrah, Merlot, Grenache, Cabernet Franc, Carignan, Barbera & Petite Sirah; 13.5% alcohol)

drank after an old world leftbank bordeaux. didnt hold a candle even at similar price point. tannins are lacking, very fruit forward. can think of several other 10ish buck wines that would be a better cab example. perhaps would have been more approachable without the comparison, perhaps I will attempt again solo, but I much prefer a more tannic example of a cab vs the overpowering ripe fruit on the taste.

Lorie liked this one - it drank better than the price would indicate.
