Opened last night. Opened last night, finished today. Very dark color, and viscous, throwing a fine sediment. Attractive nose of red fruit, minerals, and iron. Lots to like here, and seems like it could continue on, and perhaps even improve, for many years, as firm tannin is still in place. 5-13-16-8: 92/100.

Really excellent, and tremendous value for the $50 price point. Rich, layered, deep, wonderful balance of fruit - principally blackberry and plum but hints of raspberry, black cherry, and bramble - balanced with mouthcoating tannins and just enough acidity. Secondary notes of tar, pepper, and maybe green olive, but mostly just a remarkably balanced and delicious red blend with layers and layers of depth. Gave it a 2 hour decant, and it was still opening and evolving in the glass.
