First experience with this wine and I was enthralled. Love the style. Felt like a cool weather wine; perfect ripeness and sweetness to the fruit that was balanced with just the right amount of fresh acidity. Stoney and minerally, medium bodied. Need to seek out this producer. Would agree with Wine Canuck's comment that this is stylistically between a N. Rhone syrah and California Pinot Noir. Very good.

A: deep ruby N: crushed gravel, flint, raspberry, cranberry, scrub, rhubarb, fresh cut wood P: dry, med (+) acidity, med (+) smooth tannins, med body, 13% ABV C: very good = balanced just ripe crunch red fruit and fresh acidity, med (+) intensity, med concentration, med (+) finish. Drink now or hold for 10 years. So fresh and crunchy, great summer wine, better than ‘easy drinking’ summer but lacking the depth to make it outstanding.

This pours medium ruby in the glass. Aromatically lovely on opening but boy is this singing after 24 hours of air. Aromatics are intense and complex showing dark pomegranate, juicy dark cherry, cinnamon, musky animal fur, peonies, rose petals, white pepper, botanicals, and leather. The palate is also wonderful entering on dark pomegranate. Tannin is medium minus with medium plus acid. The finish closes harmoniously on leather, smoke, and pomegranite molasses. Medium plus in length. All in all this is just a wonderful wine that keeps improving. Bumping it up one point and I'm not sure it's done. Absolutely love the fresh and vibrant fruit, structure, drinkability, and complexity of this wine. Wish I had more, but now down to three bottles. Stylistically I think this is somewhere between Northern Rhone Syrah and cool climate Caliornia Pinot Noir.

Limited notes for this one - very elegant, peppery, cool red fruited. Sadly got Covid while this bottle was open and by night 3 it was pretty dead.
