Light bodied, lemon apple with hints of chervil and umami, mushroom. Finish is a bit thin. I made the mistake of tasting at too low of a temperature initially. Warming to slightly over cellar temperature brought out more flavors.

Tasted blind: I think this wine suffered from being paired up with the 2015 Marie Courtin Champagne Presence. The flavor didn't seen as bright/pure and the bubbles felt more coarse. I guessed chard based Champagne. Interesting reveal and enjoyed the discussion about this wine.

Served blind. Paired with the Marie-Courtin Presence, which for me was the better wine. This Saten is a bit more candied for me, with a candied apple nose. It also didn't have much structure so my sense is this is a drink now wine. The table seemed to enjoy it so I'll probably break the remaining bottle out for some non-wine geeks this year.
