30 minute decant. Dark cherry and lots of damp soil on the nose. Palate of plump red fruit, barnyard funk, and cranberry acidity. Medium tannins with tart strawberry and light leather on the finish.

Dark red color, bordering on purplish. Palate-staining purple and blackberry fruit on the quite savory palate. Considerable structure for a straight CC. Thankfully undergirded by tangy acidity, but unfortunately showed some heat too (14% listed alcohol).
Not a bad wine overall, but never would have guessed Chianti Classico blind, and especially not one based on a classic Sangiovese/Canaiolo/Colorino blend. Probably would have guessed a 2018 Crozes-Hermitage.

Strong and warm red and black fruit and a savory note that makes it very suitable to full bodied sauces. I went out to get this one specifically for spaghetti and meatballs. Works well!

Nose of stewed plum, strawberry, blackberry with balsamic and iron. Front palate is a flavorful burst of stewed strawberry, plum and blackberry fruit, transitioning to a touch of balsamic and iron mid palate. Finishes dry with a hint of tomato leaf and savory spice. Above average Chianti Classico.
