  • Loads of dark fruit and berries, balanced, bold and eloquent. Fortunately I have more and I think it will get better, but I may have rated it too low, so how far can it go. I drink a lot of everything. This might be one of the best reds ever.

  • Dark ruby to blue/purple. Slight rim variation/oxidation.
Blue berries, macerated black berries, strong earth notes, wet soil, gravel, leather and tobacco.
Full on the attack, weighty mid palate and med+ finish. A little air time did wonders here, wine was shy out of the bottle. Fruit present but somewhat subdued.
Brooding dark berries, black plums, currants, graphite.
Wine came and went relatively quickly after opening up...Drink now.

  • Dark ruby red in colour with a clear rim evident. How many more years will this lay down...no more for us, but...? Not a pnp wine. Horse manure on the nose immediately upon opening...love it!!! A bit of dark chocolate and exceedingly ripe cherry and vanilla. A bit of musty old library smells. Palate is thick with evident, but exceedingly subtle, tannins. Berry, berry cherry. We think another year max to sip. We confess to being fans of the Fisher Family. The entire "Unity" thing works for us...call us "sappy". They make consistently very good to excellent, occasionally exceptional, wines. We find too many estates make one buck chuck to excellent. To the Fisher Family, their name on a bottle seems to mean something...good on ya!!!

  • wonderful wine - PnP with vinturi - great nose with slight hint of anise - slightly tart on initial pour, slowly becomes smoother with air - cherry/red fruits - not as tannic as expected - seems more full-bodied than the 2007, will have to do a side by side comparison one of these days.

  • Brown Sugar, strawberries with a fine balance. Some hints of cherry. Dark purple with many good years ahead of it. I would suggest waiting a few years for proper maturation. Will get better w. time.
