  • On the pop-and-pour, this had a dark color showing no signs of age, nose was interesting, and complex, but on the palate this was tired, flat and devoid of any structure... tasted like earthy, wine flavored juice..

However, with about an hour or more air, this really changed a lot for the better, midpalate gained weight, and the finish fleshed out, adding a little tannic grip as well. Showing some nice secondary and tertiary flavors and aromas of an aged wine. Not sure I would run out and buy more, but was a decent bottle. Not worth the full price of $25 though..

Make sure you give this a decent decant though before consuming.

  • Grassy earthy upon first opening. Almost a camphor nose. Opened for about 30 minutes and the nose softened and opened showing more fruit. Big for a 2003. Have a bit more left and will taste tomorrow and add to post. I think it is worth the value at 24.99 at the 50 or 60 price point not so much.
