2.5h decant which was fine. Liked it better than the 2013 Magnol I had a while ago and the 2015 Saint Julien we had right before. Dark berries palate with tobacco, thyme, still fresh acidity (3.1 g/L TA vs 1.9 g/L RS), silky tannins, and light oak. Suckling (91) and Wine Enthusiast (90) rated it well.

Palate: Raspberry. Blueberry. Raisins. Chocolate. Herbaceous. Leather. Tobacco. High tannins. High acidity. Medium body. Medium plus intensity. Medium finish.
Great. Drink until 2026.

Nice black fruit filled core with well integrated oak, leather and cedar, with an earthy complicity. Developed more nuance with air and took on that traditional Medoc style. Not over done but more classic in profile and texture. Red berry and spice on the finish. Drink now-2026.

No formal note, a solid if unexciting bottle with good structure and enough dark fruit to make it an easy drinking bordeaux.
