Kraftig färg trots att det är oekat. Alldeles för sött och kraftigt för min smak till en fiskrätt (marulk). Upplevdes som en korsning mot dessert vin. Väldigt ovanligt vin i kategorin. Kanske oxiderat, för gammalt. Passade klart bättre till mellanrätt (glass/äpplen), hällde lite vin i glassen, trevlig kombo.

Another excellent bottle. The first half of the bottle tasted like some kind of non-Burgundy white wine from France. It was rich and full, but not in the way that Chardonnay usually is. The second half of the bottle was more "typical" but still exceptional. I will definitely keep my eye out for more. The best Cal Chard I can remember having, although admittedly, I do not go that upscale with this type of wine.

Very dark straw color; nose of butterscotch, lemon, granny smith apples, taste of mild citrus, mild butterscotch, fresh herbs; medium-strong acid; slightly thick viscosity; short to medium finish.
Really a great Napa Chard and I definitely prefer those that are unoaked.

No formal tasting notes, which is odd as I've now had a few of these across a couple vintages. Really nice unoaked Chardonay produced by the Wagner family, who also make Caymus and Belle Glos wines.

Tropical fruit nose, more lemon citrus in the mouth, crisp, refreshingly unoaked, medium finish, and a nice bit of spicy minerality.
