  Thanksgiving Dinner 2022: Very strange. My last tasting note on this from 2018 was less than favorable. However, this wine was singing on this Thanksgiving night. Maybe it came together and integrated since then? Nevertheless, this had a rocking nose and a very long smooth creamy finish. Loads of black cherry and creme de cassis. Very new world in style, but it drinks like a cult Cali Cabernet.

  Really a great wine today. Big mouthy tannins that you’d expect from this wine. Complex and long’ish finish with loads of uber dark fruit, in typical Del Dotto style. Decanted for about an hour and drank over the next 2 hours. Could have decanted for many more hours. Needs fatty food to go with it, like a ribeye. Will be an absolutely fantastic wine in another 10 years, if you can hold off that long.

  Hard to believe this received 98 pts. from Parker. This was disjointed and hot on the finish with noticeable alcohol. I am no master sommelier, but for my palate, this may never integrate fully, even with age. Definitely not worth the price or rating. This was double decanted for at least 4 hours.
