A blend of 45% Grenache Noir, 25% Carignan, 15% Cinsault, 10% Merlot, and 5% Syrah that sees no oak, the 2015 Rouge Intense soft and pliant with low acidity and tannins. Rife with raspberry pastis, blackberry jam, and vanilla, there's very little to complain about for it's modest price point. 13.5% ABV | Sample

The four varieties that you would expect plus Merlot. The Carignan shows up a bit more to me with its rustic flavors. Rustic on the palate and a bit hard edged but hey, with summer picnic foods and maybe a touch cold its all that.

Good QPR for quaffing on a hot day with grilled dogs, etc. and avoiding a boxed wine. ripe red and blue fruits, minimal aiming, drink from the bottle kind of wine.

Did not enjoy. Off balance with sharp fruit with a bitter aftertaste.
