Frappato di Vittoria 40%, Nero d’Avola 60% from 25 years old vines, organic farming, spontaneous fermentation on the skins with indigenous yeasts. aged in Slavonian barrels. 13% vol.
Opened 6 hours before dinner, not decanted. Starts with sour cherries and gets more and more tertiary notes (mainly forest floor), on the palate good freshness, medium+ bodied, long finish, quite elegant.
Superb food wine and a perfect match to the parmigiana and the home made gnocchi we had, drink now or within the next 3 to 5 years.

My wife and I loved it. She said, “ it tastes expensive”. Frappato makes it have good earthiness while not having crazy tannins

decent, nice blance, crunchy berry fruit, a bit simple for this price pointy but still tasty

Fruity, sour/dry. Hope it gets better with some more air
