Really nice. Still rather tight and wound but with air opened to a fresh and refined glass of wine. Almost looked like a 100% Grenache given the granite colour. Really lovely and got me excited about CDP again.

Cork came out easily, almost not soaked at all. Decanted and sat to breathe for about one three quarters to an hour.
The wine is clearly mature, almost no primary fruits left. Clear bricking. Aroma of leather, garrigue and fresh ground coffee. Very pleasant but needs food to go with it as the lush embrace of CnP fruits are gone with this age, but the acid and tannins are still present.
This seems to have developed more quickly than some other mature CnPs I've had. I don't have much experience with Vieux Télégraphe other than this vintage, so I cannot tell if it's normal, or due to poor storage.
This wine has a lot of both fine and coarse deposits, much more than I expected and almost Burgundy-like, so take care during decanting.

Decanted 1 hour. Really showing some age on the rim now. Such a super nose - delightful garrigue, lavender, light subtle brambles. Palate is still very forward with medium fine tannins, fresh acidity along with plenty of rich rosemary, black cherries and a clear, but light, savouryness. Drinking really well now. Drink now-2030

Really nice wine, got better as it opened up. Missing some of that primary fruit that I was wanting for.

Seemed over the hill after pop and pour on the first night. The next day the wine was much improved and tasting nice.
