Classic and classy, txt book Bordeaux with tobaco galore, spice, black fruit, dry tannins, vertical structure. Mature, not old in any way. "This is real wine," said Old School U. - no argument here, this is very satisfying for any Bordeaux lover. #CoraVined

In a perfect drinking window at 21. What an excellent claret with nose of cherries, plums, horse barn leather with the poop. Great palate of sharp Brett laiden with cherries, plum and earthen mushroom. A lot of its funk blew off in an hour. Evolved into a real shower with delicious brine, tart soft tannins, musty cherry funk. $50 high value. The best thing about this wine is its 12.5% abv. It's always nice to find a perfectly fermented year such as this with such content. Just delish.

Excellent bottle. Well stored. Perfect cork. Decanted off sediment of which there wasn't much. Huge odor of cow and horse dung in straw laiden barn floor. Loved it, but that funk blew off in 2 hours. This bottle was a beautiful evolution of palate seduction. It went through stages of cherries to plums, through tobacco box to honey coated cigar to dirt of mushroom to savory truffle.
It paired very well with pan seared Australian lamb t-bone. The lamb fat muted the cherries and flushed out the plum and tar.
Wish I could find a domestic value as this.

Attractive deep ruby red in the glass. Earthy aromas with subtle dark cherry and spice notes. Decanted for two hours, developed further with time. Smooth, austere character with dark fruits, cedar, leather, and tobacco elements. A pleasant mineral edge. Enjoyably complex with a lingering finish.

Classical developed Bordeaux nose with blackcurrants, some tar, some spice, a bit of herbaceous notes, and rather pronounced barnyard aromas. Medium bodied, palate with blackcurrants, medium(+) tannins and good acidity. Shows the weight of a second wine, but finely balanced. Has more-or-less developed fully, but no rush to finish any remaining bottles.
