Really enjoyed this bottle from start to finish-- aged extremely well. Sad this was my last bottle. Deep, earthy dark berry nose, nice smooth juice not overly smothered in oak or spice. Deep and drinking great. Improving with age. Great drinking spot.

Medium body and deep ruby color. Earth, minor tar, a little rhubarb and baking spice on the nose. Opens with cinnamon and baked apple. Nice long finish of dark choco and cherries jubilee. Quality wine that has held up.

Out of a magnum. Unlike many other recent tasters, my bottle drank quite well. Really closed on opening, it began to shine after a couple of hours with subdued black currant, black raspberry, and tea flavors. I can’t speak for the 750s, but I’d have no problem holding another magnum (I wish!) for a few more years.

The nose is a bit harsh with some trace of violets. Nice dark fruit, black cherries, pepper. It is starting to become unbalanced. The acidity is somewhat harsh and not in balance with the fruit and sweet tannins. Finishes long, but again a bit too acidic. Overall, palatable but that’s it. Drink soon. The acidity will become intolerable in the next year or so.
