- Brick color - Pnp, needed a decant of couple hours. Dark, deep burgundy color, full body, dark fruit flavors. Robust tannins, high acidity, long finish. Opens up some with time in the glass.

Very deep purple, opaque at the core. Potent and virile, this decidedly masculine even for Cabernet Sauvignon, leaping from the glass with aromas of fresh blackberry, crème de framboise and underbrush shaded by notes of charcoal, smoke and damp gravel. On the palate it is full bodied, thick and chewy with diminished acidity and a texture defined by palate-coating but decidedly ripe and fleshy tannins. Despite its density there are pretty flavors here of ripe black fruits and violets and perhaps this big fella just needs more time to settle. Even so, this is is an interesting style for what is surely supposed to be an introductory wine.

Big nose with a touch of heat. This is a big, juicy wine with flavors of dark cherry, dark raspberry and blueberry. This developed a nice finish of tobacco and charcoal. You can drink this as a pop and pour but this was much better after a 2 hour decant and added complexity at the 3 hour mark. My first Favia wine and I will be seeking out more.

Young, tight and dark wine but still a pleasure to drink. Nose of coffee, dark fruit and vanilla. Lots of dark tannins, black coffee, blackberry ane dark cherry. Nice wine and very nice value for the money. That deep stags leap pedigree. Will almost certainly get better with time.
