Wow !!! Robe tuilée,bouquet sensationnel agrémenté de cassis,groseille,sous-bois,terre mouillée,eucalyptus...C'est enivrant de beauté....La bouche continue ce festival:de la soie,du velours sur une structure bien présente, sans faille,du fruit,du fruit tout cela à 31 ans....Fantastique bouteille d'un millésime sous coté venant après le 90 tant encensé mais qui lui tient la dragée haut sur bien d'exemplaires....

Trio of 1983, 1990, & 1991: The 1983 was lovely, graceful, and charming, all in an understated way. Essentially everything you want with this vintage. The 1990 was robust, and a bit of a bruiser. Great fruit, drank very well, yet still an adolescent at age 32. The 1991 was class in a glass, and ultimately my favorite. While the phrase balanced is out of vogue with many tasters, this was balanced (there, I said it). Edging into its tertiary phase, the 1991 is simply a complete and fantastic wine. The trio was a great example of 1+1+1 equaling much more than 3. A delightful tasting.

A fantastic Ponsot which lives up to the reputation for its emralded 91 vintage. Floral, stemmy and red fruit driven. Palate is classy, feminine and dense. So alluring and sexy. 95-96

Young bottle with depth of dark red fruit and underlying soil tones. Emerging spice bouquet. 95+

Ponsot Clos de la Roche: All in all, another gorgeous and classic 1991 burgundy. Iodine on the palate, tertiary elements. Outstanding.
