  5/05 Very good - notably smooth and balanced. Has a spicy taste which comes on slow and subtle and nice easy finish. Overall a little bland but a very nice change of pace if you've become more accustomed to some of the more exciting and intense flavors offered by other cabs. The wine has no edge which can make it a crowd pleaser and safe to serve or suggest in any company. 89 pts.

  Deep ruby color leads to a nose of currant, bing cherry and a hint of cocoa. The palate continues the flavors in the nose and adds soft leather and cedar. The tannins are smooth but somewhat clipped. An enjoyable wine but not in the league of the 2002.
