  this note is being written after the fact. too long ago to recall details. this was a non-vintage product that was on the retail market in 1983. it was rated superior by the international wine center in new york and was recommended to be served by the glass in restaurant settings. i must have enjoyed the wine since the dead horse still decorates the cellar as of 10/2010.
