Slightly funky, mostly unexpressive nose. Medium bodied with red fruit flavors and obvious but uninvasive oak. Pleasant wine, and probably a better match for everyday eating than many Cali cabs in the same range.

Vicard Barrel Tasting (Devon Valley Hotel): Rather a dusty nose with some nuts and baked fruits, some baked plum with blackcurrant, the wine is quite light-medium bodied and lacks much dimensionality. Clear oaky notes permeate the wine with vanilla and toast. Tannins are fruit-derived and, whilst ripe offer little structure bar the fact the wine drinks easily. Not mad keen on the oak influence.
