{cork, 12.5%, A$21} Bright and cheerful mid-garnet red. Twiggy, herbaceous, tobacco-like nose, youthful enough, and with some intensity, but rather greenish. The palate isn't unripe, but is very herb-infused, and the only really red flavours are some rather tart cherries that you have to work to find. Nicely drying Bordeaux tannins, light-medium weight, but really, if you wanted this kind of flavour profile you'd go to burgundy (and I don't mean that rudely). Sadly, the longer you drink it, the greener it seems to get, and despite the relative shortness of the finish, that green tinge just hangs around! With the $A near parity to the USD, and around 1.4 to the €, it's not good value either. Pass.
