This 2008 had a bright ruby red color, light to medium body, it presents cherry, ripe cranberry, hints of strawberry, dusty rose and leather and a whisper of vanilla, it is well balanced with soft acidity and has a nice mouth feel with a smooth lingering fine tannin finish.
Fine Vines - Even More New Releases (Chicago IL): Wine tasting. incredibly impressive for its level. Wonderful black and red cherry on palate. Wonderful balance, wonderful textures for its level and vintage. Simple fruit and finish, but everything is in harmony. Another super bargain.

Strawberries and a some saddle leather components on the nose. Extremely lovely and super ripe red fruits on the palate, some strawberries and cherries absolutely singing from the glass. Tarry, dusty complexity follows on the mid palate before a pleasing acidic twist on the finish. If only all £16 burgundies could be this enjoyable.

Dead Grape Society - Red Burgundy (Luxembourg): Bold ruby red color. Started out very powerful nose but mellowed out over an hour. Saucisson was my first thoughts this smell comes and goes but is very nice and different for a burgundy. Dense cloudy smell. Carmel, plums, terroir. The flavors in the mouth were a cranberry, cherry, strawberry with hints of soucisson peaking through. Good fruit but very well balanced between sweetness and acidity. Mouth feel is perfect. Vanilla finish which was good length. Interesting and very nice wine.
