Not terribly refined or complex. This is straightforward and for the most, one dimensional. The tannins are receding and thus the balance is tending towards softer fruit, leaving the alcohol a touch out of balance. I would say drink up because I don't see the structure or balance getting any better.

first bottle from case. Cork split. Bad start. Nose closed. Decanted and drunk after 2 hours quite disappointed. A bit syrupy and short. Drank again day 4.What a difference . Much more complex and drinking really well. greatly enjoyed.

Fig and plum cooked with sweet holiday spices, a little pipe tobacco and dry gravel road. Big and rich but nice lively acid, soft powdery tannin. Nice balance of acid/alcohol/sweetness.
Maybe leans a little to much toward primary fruit for some but drinking very nicely right now.

This was raisiny and a little lean upon decant and initial consumption. We kept half of it in the decanter and polished it off 48 hours later and WOW, what a difference. It was still raisiny but big, lush, and much more complex with a medium finish. If drinking now-ish, I strongly suggest a long decant. 90 points initially, 92 points after 48 hours => average 91.

[From a 375 ml] Deep dark reddish-purple in color; no signs of aging. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & dried figs with spice & earthy overtones, minerals, dark cocoa, cinnamon spice, herbs & a touch of vanilla in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, with rich & jammy, ripe fruit flavors of blackberries, dark cherries, dried figs & raisins with spices, bittersweet cocoa & minerals. Long lingering smooth finish with just a hint of heat. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & airing but will continue development with additional aging.
