It was a while ago, and I am not drinking Bourgone often, but I remeber this as a very subtle yet powerful wine. I loved it, can't wait for a good occasion to drink last bottle.

{cork, 13%, A$24} Fresh, even fruity, nose of cherry and sappy red fruits in a lighter style. The palate, however, has rather more powdery tannin that the fruit can easily bear. Even so, the wine remains pretty light-bodied overall, depending almost entirely on the tannin for its palate impression. Dry, definitely, and with a short finish, it is in no way unripe, just dilute. Still, for an 05 burgundy this far from home, I guess it's all you'd expect.

Woody/musty nose, classic lightish colour. Quite acidic at first but improves out of sight with time and food. Medium to good length and excellent savoury flavours with no sweetness. Excellent value and at it's peak. Drink now.

Served with ragout of veal(artichokes and green olives). At first it tasted off, but opened up and was good.
