Still young and very powerful, drinkable now but cellaring likely gets better. Very dark purple, lots of fruit and some heat, which blew off in about hald an hour.

Smells of blackberries. Alcohol is evident on the nose. However, taste like blueberry Sweet Tarts. Powerful chewy wine that could last five to ten more years. Breathtaking, a meal in itself.

This is wine at the extreme. The look and texture of motor oil, with extracted blackberry, dark olive that has hints of rubber tire, and the distinctive Alban roasted funk. While complex, this was not altogether pleasurable. Day 2 seemed to smooth things out a bit more, but ultimately, I shouldn't have to try this hard to like a wine.

WCC Blind Rhone Varietals from Around the World (Salty's Pub, Clifton Park, NY): Inky, oaky nose. Massively oaky, but very tasty. Needs 5-10 years for the oak to integrate. Hopefully, it will. Then this will be 94-96 points. 1 vote for WOTF.
