Osteria I Nonni Fall Italian Tasting 2013 (I Nonni, St. Paul, MN): I thought this has a very pretty nose with ripe dark berry fruits and floral notes along with spice, the palate was young and at least currently doesn't match the nose in finesse, firm tannins, medium finish. I do think this may flesh out and improve moderately with some time 89(+)pts.

Not a great Amarone, certainly not worth $70. I decanted it for 4 hours before drinking-still very tight. I didn't get the 'raisin' goodness to which I'm accustomed in a good amarone-I felt overwhelmed with tannins. No doubt this was consumed too early, but I didn't see enough in it to invest in more to sit in my cellar.
