Gorgeous ruby color that exibits no bricking. A pleasantly earthy fragrance underlies cherry liqueur and black truffle which carries over to the palate along with cacao and yellow plum. Acids are still quite intact. Works well with a sauced BBQ pork.

What I notice immediately about this wine is the earthiness of its fruit, which is comprised of some tart cranberry and pomegranate, as well as some black cherry. After about 30 minutes, the earthiness begins to subside and is replaced by lush chocolate aromas, which is reminiscent of truffles filled with cherry liqueur. On the palate, this velvety syrah exhibits more cranberry, some plum, and black cherry, which become the precursor to a slightly tart yet peppery finish. Medium-full body. Medium-high acidity. This is one of those Syrahs that works better with food than by itself. 88+

Well made wine. Fruit not as present as anticipated. Needs a little time to open up.

Good amount of oak, very creamy, but had nice vibrant blackberry fruit. Solid wine.

Good balance and nice cherry fruit. It has good depth and a beautiful ruby color.
