A very nice change of pace from the Sauvignon Blanc we usually drink when we think it is 5 PM (somewhere). Some of those same sharp, citrus, pear, and apple flavors and aromas are present with this wine, in a slightly more elegant and lighter bodied package. Much more mineral than we get from Sauvignon Blanc from say, New Zealand, or the west coast. Not really all that much color. Citrus and apple peel nose, with some soft floral tones. Moderately aggressive acid on the entry, backing down to a civilized lemon lime infused pear and apple. Medium bodied, but still surprisingly light on the mid palate. Plenty of acidity, just shy of mouth puckering. Still more mineral, and lemon lime on the finish. This wine drinks well by itself, even close to room temperature, but is begging for some cheese to cut through.

Light yellow; nose ananas, peach, fresh like dewy meadow; taste pear, peach, lime, lemon, mineral. Medium acidity and crisp, a bit mouth-drying and very good as aperitif, also with fish dishes and shrimps. Got to have more good Grüner Veltiner wines...

Melon, peach, and lemon-lime citrus, with less acidity than a sauvignon blanc. Must explore this varietal more.
