Had to check the bottle to make sure this was not a '07. The '08 was supposed to be the start of Willamette Pinot recovery, but this one did not get that memo. Where is the nose? Drank very thin, chalky strawberry and little spicebox. Acidity was down as well, though some creeping heat at finish. If you have a bottle of this serve on the colder side of pinot preference, it may be a good crutch. F/64 = 50/3/3/3/3/2

Bright cherry-red color with good clarity. Aromas of black cherry, strawberry, and spice. Medium bodied with good strawberry, cherry, and licorice flavors with a streak of tartness that comes through the long finish. I think in another year or so, if this tartness dissapates and lets more of the fruit and spice characteristics shine through the finish, this could be a 90 point Pinot, but at the price, a great value even today at 88 points.

Made me think they're right when they say this is a great vintage. Light and restrained like a Burgundy. Great silky feel in the mouth. Not much complexity but nice expression of cherry and rasberry. Terrific qpr.

Nice mouth feel. Good acidity, slightly tart red cherry followed by supple and soft tannin. Drinking well now.

nothing special;too thin and though some clay at the end this was the least memorable bottle from the 2008 vintage we have tried
