Pleasant quaffer. Some melon a bit of minerality some crowd pleasing sweetness that isn't too over powering. Nothing special though. Poor match for pizza

Anyone's guess how this bottle ended up in my garage frig but we were having quiche and salad for dinner and figured what the heck! Nice sav blanc. Nose of peaches. Absolutely delightful! Surprised despite its age and screw top!

I was repeatedly chastised by a friend for aging my Kiwi SBs. At least with this wine, he was wrong. It was exceptional. The grassiness remains but the development of the other flavours - citrus, melon and a little nuttiness - has advanced very favourably. Acidity has mellowed a little which, oddly for me, produced an improved flavour and sensory balance. More Sancerre than Marlborough. I have some older vintages and will slowly taste through these too.

Last bottle of the case, last tasted nearly 3 years ago. Surprisingly this bottle seems to have added some complexity since last tasted. The grapefruit has given away to mitre herbacous grassy flavors and there is some interesting mineral notes of stone and slate on the finish, not unlike a fine graves. Nice showing and a nice accompliment to fish or shellfish.

Citrus and lemony on the nose i and in the mouth but well balanced. A great example of what a NZ sauvignon Blanc will be. If yo do not like this wine, do not purchase any NZ SB wines. It's as simple as that. This is a lemony, citrusy wine.
