fresh and in good condition. also dark and overextracted, not showing any of the liveliness or elegance of perfume of gamay. Yes its more burgundian, but something has been lost

This was sublime out of a magnum last night with Salmon. No special storage and my family found it to be delicious. Our ages are 19-56. No overbearing French oak, just a profound, perfectly balanced wine that only improved until the last sip. Pts. are irreverent with this beautifully made killer Morgon!

Slightly muddled light ruby. As before, rose and other floral tones with faded red fruit. Light, earthy, clay-based feel. Soft red fruits and berries, a dash of herbs, fine acidity, and disappearing tannins. This is the antithesis of overripe, overly dense 2009 cru Beaujolais-limpid, elegant, and still drinking very well. The acidity should carry it for a few more years, but this was my last bottle since every time I tasted it, I thought it could not possibly go on much longer.

slightly over the hill, the ripeness of the fruit is no longer balanced by brightness and freshness
