This is still hanging in there! I wouldn’t hold on to this much longer, but despite being on the decline it is very very good. Intense nose still full of blue and black fruit, still some fruit and spice on the pallet. Initially some slightly oxidized sherry like notes but these disappeared within the first hour. We finished it, but I can’t imagine it would have been ok on day 2 or 3.

Realm Cellars Wine Dinner (JP's American Bistro, Minneapolis): 90% Cabernet Sauvignon / 5% Merlot / 5% Petit Verdot. The favorite at our table by a narrow margin, this came off as a little more Bordeaux-styled. Primal purple color, with notes of black licorice, tar, and black fruits. A blast of tannins on the long finish.
