  • Very full, port-like @ begining, then aired to a very juicy full-bodied wine. Balanced. Love it! Quite a bit of sediment.

  • Very nice fruit. Long finish. Perfect pairing with the pan seared ribeye. If it only had a bit less alcohol (at 14.5% a bit too high for my taste).

  • This wine was amazing, so glad I bought a case of the '05. The '03 had a finish that lasted & lasted. We fought over the last drops in the bottle. This is one of the best syrahs I have ever had (tastes like $60+ bottle). Clear black ruby red. Plum, dried cherry, black pepper, leather on the nose. Palate is amazingly REFINED with lingering finish that makes one ponder about time. Huge berry (not heavy, or over powering) with slighly sour cherry finish. Juicy plum & candy...but in the best sense of the phrase, i.e. not "sweet". This wine has it all and I highly recommend. Rate this 94 points, drinking well now, but will cellar for several more years. Will try the '05 no sooner than LATE 2008 or 2009, as it has decade to last! (Paid $28/b for the '03. The '05 increased up to $38/b after the 93 point rating from WS. Still, it's an exceptional wine for sipping.)
