I got the chance to try this wine at a tasting event and was quite impress, so I took a bottle home for further investigation. The wine has a ruby color with a nice fruity nose. The mouth feel is robust but with an overall impression of freshness. It drinks very well now but looks like it could take few more years and should improve. It’s not a very old wine yet but was better few hours after opening. So it seems to need to breathe and I will recommend opening it few hours before serving.

This wine needs at least two hours to breathe; it is thin at first and a bit too tart; then it fills out and mellows. Lots of acidity and tannins and red fruit, well-balanced, medium-bodied. It is not as lush as the Chiroubles, but there is more structure. It will definitely improve with age. No hurry on this one.

Pop and pour. Delicious. Light and refreshing, light tannins and body, medium acid. Slightly candied black fruit. Very fresh.
