Deep ruby. Grape, blueberries, blackberry, raisins, slate mineral, herbs, milk chocolate, sea breeze, violets, cognac. Medium sweet, high alcohol, tannins, and acidity, full body.

Opaque purple color. Deep blue fruit, bramble, cloves, spicy, alcoholic. Probably needs more time for tannins to totally resolve. Tasty but not as complex as I would like. Medium finish.

(Niepoort) Port Dear Friends, We rarely offer vintage Port so when we do, it's for a good reason. This wine is not only exuberant and a showcase for the vintage but it's still priced within reason. Regardless of how interesting it is to taste today, it should age for decades - the raw materials are there for very special evolution. While 2003 baked most of Europe, it played right into the hands of vintage Port producers with grape skins that held surreal levels of natural tannin - perfect for the long haul. A beautiful effort that will be tough to keep uncorked: ONE SHIPMENT ONLY at this price: 2003 Niepoort Vintage Port (750ml) This wine has arrived with perfect provenance. It will be available for local pick up in 2-3 weeks and will ship in the fall during the first available shipping window (weather permitting). Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Port9100

Solid port. Lots of wonderful dark fruit, leather, and a long finish. Really nice place right now from a 375ml.

Brambly, cloves …. a typical port without the heaviness/thickness. Feels like something is missing. Also some notes of honey …. grape bubblegum
