Color: medium deep ruby core -> medium ruby rim. Forward, voluptuous nose of cherries, blackberries, vanilla and a touch of forest floor. Good texture; juicy, with a boatload of luscious red fruit. Fat midpalate and a punchy, long finish make this quite enjoyable. Holding nicely, but could provide a little more complexity for my taste. Certainly at peak now and for quite a while into the future.

Decanted 30 minutes and served with grilled filet mignon and sauteed mushies. Nicely integrated from the first sip with good depth to the blackberry and black cherry fruit. Herbacious with good minerality and a bit of shoe polish. Full bodied, good structure, moderate power, moderate richness, and a lightly polished texture... this is drinking really well right now. Delicious Paso blend that is at its peak. 92-93

Drinking well with no sign of the 15.5% ABV. Soft fruit, earthy elements paired well with a variety of foods.
