  • Light yellow/gold. Unbelievably fresh. A cross between an SB and a riesling. Aromas of lemongrass, citrus and pit fruits, with a honey note. Integrated flavors of green grass, hay, and pit fruits and honey. Finishes on a flinty note. Soft, round, and slightly rich with some lift at the end. After time, this fills out slightly, then becomes more diffuse, but in the end, after 2 hours, holds up well. I was stunned. Also, I have no experience with 21 year old Sancerre.

  • Very interesting nose: lots of petrol notes with pineapple. Touch of honey with smoke and pear. Elegant in rather light version of La Grande Cote, very round, pretty low in acidity but beautiful balance. The mid palate lacks a little bit of structure but the finish is quite focused and precise. There's a subtle saline note.
Very good wine that kept improving and I won't hesitate to decant it next time.
