Black cherry aromas with some background meaty spice. Similar black cherry flavors on palate doesn't show any overripe character, but a little short on energy. Popped and poured. This started showing some stewy character after open for about 3 hours open. Drink up.

Actually the best bottle of this yet. Still lacking density, but the flavor complexity was nice and the fruit seemed better and perhaps more pure and less stewed or roasted than in previous bottles.

So I wasn't feeling that well last night, so I spent more time smelling and sipping than tasting and drinking. Still, I bought this wine for a ridiculous 10/btl For that price you could not get near this quality in a US Pinot, probably not even for twice that price. Certainly the cheapest OR pinot would be in the 25 range that could show such nice varietal character Touch over ripe on nose, but nice strawberry sauce, tart pinot character on palate Bit thin in body though. Great QPR

Still fresh fruit, lots of concentration, not overripe at all. Enjoyed my brief taste before using the rest for Coq au vin.
