A blend of Friulano, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon. Fermented and aged in stainless steel. 14% alcohol.
Light and rather pale straw yellow color. Attractively fragrant, subtly sweet-toned and still surprisingly youthful nose with vibrant aromas of cantaloupe, perfumed notes of apple blossom, light white peach tones, a little bit of passion fruit, light herbal tones and a nutty hint of slivered almonds. The wine feels firm, quite dense and slightly oily on the palate with a medium body and intense, layered flavors of ripe white peach, cantaloupe, some passion fruit, light floral notes of apple blossom, sweet hints of nectarine and applesauce and a subtly umami touch of MSG. The moderately high acidity makes the wine feel wonderfully balanced and surprisingly fresh for its age. The finish is long and fruity with vibrant, youthful flavors of ripe golden apples, cantaloupe and nectarine, some golden currant tones, a little bit of tangy salinity, light floral notes of apple blossom, a hint of umami and a toasty, evolved touch of brioche.
A beautiful, harmonious and wonderfully vibrant white blend that is remarkably youthful for its age - in our tasting of Schiopetto 2011-2000 whites, this was among the most youthful wines in the tasting, if not the most youthful. As a blend, the wine succeeds in bringing forth the best qualities from the blending components, not coming across as a mishmash of flavors with no real sense of focus - which seems to be a problem in many regions in which the strength lies in varietal wines, not blends. All in all, this is a very lovely wine that is drinking really well right now, but also seems to hold quite a bit of aging potential for the future. Easily among the best Schiopetto wines I've tasted. Highly recommended.

Wasn't expecting much from this wine, since it was a little long in the tooth, but came away presently surprised. A touch oxidized, but not offputtingly so. Nice stone fruits and good backbone of acid.

Terroir: di nuovo agrumi e fiori gialli dove si incunea un'interessante mineralità. ricorda qualcosa del vintage tunina. Bocca ancora più convincente con qualche nota dura in più dei precedenti. Molto lungo e molto espressivo. Buon potenziale di invecchiamento.

Very interesting wine...colour reminiscent of a light lager beer, quite faint nose and hugely aromatic on the palate. First impressions are that of fermented apple juice with hints of peach and this impression lasts on the finish, so this is no aperitif wine. This wine needs food and it pairs well with e.g. salmon or similar fatty fish and is very enjouyable.

(Schiopetto Blanc des Rosis, Venezia Giulia IGT) A blend of Friulano, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Malvasia, and Ribolla Gialla. Honeydew-melon, pineapple, sage, and caramel aromas lead to a concentrated, lush finish with notes of yellow herbs and lively acidity. Friuli: Rolling Hills and Multifaceted Wines

Rich aromas and flavors of stone fruits with a medium body and good acidity through a mid length finish. Paired very nicely with coho salmon.
