  • Very nice nose with lots of dark cherry. Complex, bdx like taste. Finish is good, a little on the sweet side.

  • approachable and lush blackberry, currant anise and pepper; might have guessed a good aussie cab/shiraz blend enjoyable

  • After a half-day vacu-corked in the fridge was not unlike some of the "motor oil" petit sirahs. The fruit overwhelmed other elements to yield a not sweet (yet not very dry) dark ripe intense "herbal fruit syrup". Interesting and still tasty in its own way, but too rich for me. Recommend drinking this within maybe 1.5 hrs of opening.

  • Pop and pour at 60 deg F. Wine's balance favors the intense cherry-berry fruit but not excessively so ... this would please both the crowd and connoisseurs at a party. Interesting earthy nose of peppery herbs, floral, bits of leather, and berry fruit. In the mouth an intense burst of slightly sour ripe deep fruit (black cherry, cassis, and dark berries) well-integrated with notes of spicy wood and perhaps a bit of mineral. Finish short to medium of elements in balance. 87% cab sauv, 13% cab franc. 14.3% abv. Dryish. Body medium plus, acid medium, tannin medium. Great QPR as tested, about USD 15.
