Initial impression: This is sweater than I expected... and not in an entirely pleasant way. The aroma is pleasant and expected for a merlot. The taste has a touch of bitterness and heavy flavors of dark fruit, plums, blackberry, and a hint of burnt leather. It almost feels as if this production wasn't blended or balanced properly. +10minutes: It has become more pleasant as it breathes. The balance has come back to something much more pleasing. +30minutes: The dark fruit flavors are much more well rounded now. This wine definitely needs to breathe a bit before enjoying it.

Black raspberry and rich mouthfeel combined with a distinct flavor profile of the petit verdot emerging. It was fairly straight-forward, simple and non-distinct but drank well and was an easy wine to enjoy.

This wine was more fruit forward with notes of berries, minimal acidity. It’s not very complex but it does have a silky finish
