held up extraordinarily well for supposedly being two years past its drinkability window - decanted and opened nicely, with bold but not overwhelming dark and musky fruit on the front end and a long smooth finish that left me wanting more.

Dark. Real dark. Almost opaque. pretty crimson-garnet. nose is black and blue with cherry cola and sassafras. palate shows some interestinf depth and structure. there is blueberries, black cassis, black raspberries and plum-pumice. there is some pretty violets & lavender sneaking in too actually, this is the show stopper tonight. Fully resolved and nicely balanced, this, although two dimensional really delivers for $10.00. Yes, ten bucks. I can't find anything wrong with this and am real curious with myself why I was looking......

Hits the mark for outstanding QPR. Glad I waited as this drinks smooth and lush. While not a HUGE cab it does stand up well against steak. And that's what I expect from a CA cab. Not over-ripe or sweet, no tannic grip and alc is well integrated. So for $20 quite praiseworthy. Also a cab from The Valley, not a region noted for this varietal yet this works.

I have no idea how this ended up in my cellar or when I purchased it.
I pulled it out and was shocked at the rich plum and chocolate notes.
It is still holding up.
