36 mo. 100% new oak, and it shows. They must have wanted to give this wine everything it could take a la Cult Napa style. The quality of fruit here is notable as is its intensity and depth. That oak is a nuisance though, adding an ashen, bitter quality to the finish after the coconut oil and skittles entry and mid. Creme of cassis,. black cherry and some floral notes abound on the wide spreading palate. This seems to be dominated by the Cabernet in its blend. Full bodied, the balance of acid, fruit, and alcohol is poised, however the oak, again, throws the whole askew. Plenty will love this I'm sure.
Great wine. Sad to see this go. Sadder still to see the producer retire for family reasons. We miss Nicholas Cole Wines. Glad we had a chance to drink a few. Cheers!
Amazing persistence. This wine is tasting as well or better than the last bottle I reviewed 4 years ago. Let this breathe for a few hours and the flavor complexity unfolds beautifully. Still vibrant. Long finish. A wonderful sip and sigh wine.

An excellent example of a Washington cab that has gotten better over time. Perfect time to drink.
Total shame there is no more to be had.

Simply a delight to drink. Complex with good fruit, but not jammy, with a silky mouthfeel and long finish. One of the best WA wines I have had.
