Best of our three bottles. Started off a little sweet and monolithic, but after a decant and 30 minutes of air time it really started shining. Easy drinking, medium bodied, and more complex than I was expecting. Similar notes to my last tasting in 2009. So glad I held on to this...if you have them, give one a try!
I was a little worried about this bottle due to its age but both cork and wine were in excellent shape. Slight orange bricking. Intense nose of blackberries, plums, and spices. Body was smooth, flavors were spicy black and blue fruits, complex and beautifully integrated. Not a rough edge to be found. Drink now. With so many new entrants around, it is easy to forget about WC, but this wine was a showpiece for Washington reds.

Corked this worried i had let it sit too long. But the smell of plum and taste of chocolate were smooth and quite good. Very mellow wine that is easy to drink with or without food.

Pretty modest aromas. Red and black fruit on the palate, although not super expressive. grass and earthy vitamin notes on the palate.

Nice mellow aged wine, great balance. Nothing over the top, but probably won't be very memorable either.
