Prunes on the nose. Taste-wise, it was ok, good enough not to pour out, but certainly not a typical Epoch. In a word, disjointed. This was a Wine Bid bottle, so provenance could be an issue.

As a cocktail wine, for those that prefer such things, this is fine. But as a varietal expression of Tempranillo, it's a thick, sappy mess. Honestly, this could have been anything, from anywhere. Formulaic (oak, raisins, EtOH, repeat), and without soul or nuance. Not advisable with food. The only bottle on the night that didn't get emptied (left half full, and there were nine people at the table). 15,9% abv
Aerated to decanter 2 hours, served non-blind.

Impressive showing for this wine, better than 6 months ago by a good amount. Don't know if it's bottle variation or time, but this was one of the best Epochs I've had and certainly the best American Tempranillo.

Excellent wine. A bit of a rustic, tannic bite to it, but nicely balanced.

Sensational. Decanted for 1 hour. Cherries, chocolate, little leather.
