Drunk for dinner of salmon en croute. 13%. Medium ruby with bricking at the rim. Great nose of dried cherries, leather, bilberry, cranberry and mushroom that carried through onto the palate which also had notes of smokiness. The aftertaste was reminiscent of an Islay whisky with all its complexities. Great balance, refreshing acidity and very smooth tannins. The finish was very long. In perfect, peak condition. Nothing overblown or over-extracted. Everything is in perfect place - just a great bottle of claret. Still just as good on fourth day. Amazing!

Nice quality mature claret with lots of fruit. I have drunk several bottles of this wine over the last 6 months and they have all been great. If you can get a case you will not be disappointed

Pale ruby with bricking in color, scents of cedar chest, cherries and leaves lead to a medium bodied wine that ends with light red and black fruits and tart cranberry. This wine is already in decline.

At home. Powerful wine. Dark ruby. Lots of toasty oak framing black fruit in the nose. Rich, ripe fruit on the palate with a good dollop of oak. Good evolution with no holes as it crosses the tongue and on into a fairly lengthy finish. Still quite tannic. Very good in a rustic sort of way. 5-12-13-7: 87/100
