Community Tasting Notes (2)

  • Decanted for 1 hour. Good aromatics of dusty red and black fruits, black tea and some earth. There is a slight mushroom note that just hints in the background. Strong red fruits and blueberries, good expanson and good acidity to balance out the ripe fruit. Slightly bitter finish. This closed up aromatically. After 3 hours or so, but the palate was still very much alive.

  • Some old stuffs on a casual friday: Alcohol :: 13%
Aeration for 3hours. Focus, intense pungent spices that kicked off the powerful aromatic profile with NSG rustiness and earthiness that build a solid wall to resist the underlying sweet black and red cherry fruits surface. This almost full-bodied wine has sweet entry but quickly cover by the powerful, muscular, slight rustic intense profile with firm structure. The finishing is slightly weaker and cant carry through the intense mid palate with persistent dried fig, mineral and new oak aftertaste with touch of barnyard. Despite 11yrs of age and with 3hrs aeration, this powerful, muscular wine is nowhere into the drinking window. Buy - No.
