Having way more structure and controlled tannins than the 2009, this Beaumes de Venise 2005 is, at least, seductive. Don’t hesitate buying this one instead of the 2009 if you really want to go Redortier. 84 points

Drank this with dinner at La Fourchette in Charleston, SC. Paired well with Beef Bourguignon. The wine had great purplish color that was not too dark. Black cherry notes on the nose with hints of pepper. The wine showed fair intensity with dark red fruit on the palate, the pepper was also present. The wine is holding up well and still has a great finish.

Medium color. Medicinal black cherry smell. Similar flavors plus some herbs, all brought to abrupt halt by zingy acidity and dry, dusty tannins. Too thin and structured for the volume of fruit it possesses.

Drank with some poco dolce ginger dark chocolate tiles... Holy cow. Beautiful, really brought out the cherry. Nice spicy nose, very balanced
