Half-bottle, coupled with a variety of seafood dishes. Extraordinary. Had quite a bit of funk at the outset, but it dissipated completely after 20 minutes of air. A great balance of racy and sweet, and a very long finish. No idea how long this could last but after working through the bottle over two hours it was still lively and fresh.

Zachys auction at Formento's (Chicago, IL): Late release. From half-bottle. I couldn't really understand this wine too well; it was really, really dirty and stinky and seemed to have some chemically off flavours at first, but those did seem to dissipate with air. It didn't seem flawed, but I'll have to note to generously air out the older Huet wines when I open one next time.

Blend of Madeira and Yquem? Very unusual and fascinating taste. Musky.

Light gold. Mute in the nose. Spatlese sweetness, apricot, melon. Good length and balance. Youngish.

Some Wine Tasted at the Zachys Auction (Formento's - Chicago IL): Late afternoon, small glass. From 375 ml bottle. Dirty start like all older Huet, especially 1989. Sweet but with textural richness and complex fruit character that thrilled me.
