Last bottle, and seemingly on the downside of delicious. Decent wine but not melding as well as I remembered. Of course it is unbearably hot here and I didn't care for the cold jambalaya salad (?, yeah that's what I said) we had for dinner.

Grenache at the forefront. Very tannic upon opening. Missing something in the blend....too tannic, dry and austere. Good basic red with grilled lamb chops.

Good juice. Less heat on this bottle. Starting to integrate and settle down. Love the fruit profile with the Grenache leading the way. Took this to a party and it was the first bottle emptied.

I feel sorry for the poor bastards that are drinking 2010 and 2011 versions of this wine when the 09 is just hitting its stride. I will be one of those poor bastards soon, but will fondly remember this rocking good Syrah/Grenache blend.

(Maison Bleue Jaja Red Wine Yakima Valley) Bright aromatics of plum, raspberries, mineral, and a bit of earthy funk. The palate is richly flavorful - fresh, tart, and delicious with abundant raspberry and pomegranate flavors and a tart, acidic finish. 50% Grenache, 50% Syrah. 14.5% alcohol. Sample provided by winery.

Consistent with prior notes. Still needs a half hour or so to open up.
